As of this post, Inktober 2019 is just a day away. I went into Inktober last year on a bit of a lark, thinking no problem, this should be easy. I was wrong.
I just had one of my digital drawings banned from the Procreate community site because it was believed to be a photograph. My response went from a frown to laughing in about 3 seconds. Should I take it as a compliment? (drawing attached)

Sometimes you need more pen and more time. Hard to do this one at lunch with just a fountain pain. I forgot my pens at home. 🎨

A couple of ink sketches while waiting for my daughter’s piano lesson to end. 🎨

I took a few mins at lunch to do these two sketches. One is with the Sailor fountain pen with a fude nib and the second is a Pentel brush pen. Looking forward to the fude 50 degree nib and permanent ink. Also, the brush pen is too sensitive for urban sketching. 🎨

I had a wonderful opportunity to interview Myriam Tillson about her creative journey as well as Inktober and gouache. I throughly enjoyed this interview and I am sure you will too. Listen to it and read the show notes here. 🎨

Another quick weekend urban sketch. This one of Minto Park in downtown Ottawa. Part of a public outreach event where the community can interact with artists. 🎨

A 20 minutes test of a new brush pen from Pentel. Handles nicely, stock ink does take a bit longer to dry. Brush could be a little stiffer. I do like it. 🎨

Also, very happy with my new easel and tool layout. Yes, the media were there as well 🎨
